What is wavecure

Wavecure-concept will be created by a PDP-team of Aalto University students in association with Philips Medical Systems MR Finland.

The aim of this project is to make MR(g)-HIFU treatment more pleasant for the patient. MR(g)-HIFU (Magnetic Resonance Imaging –guided High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) device is designed for treating different kinds of tumors inside the human body. In this project we concentrate especially in the treatment of uterine fibroids.
